Overview

Bel Fish has processed and exported Moroccan seafood since 1996, without a website to show for it. We designed, wrote and built its first one, made for the importers and distributors it sells to across Africa, Europe and Asia. What we did: website design, copywriting, brand direction and development.

The Bel Fish homepage on a laptop: fishing boats at Agadir port behind the headline "L'humain avant tout...".

Challenge

Bel Fish had no website. Buyers abroad had nothing to check before getting in touch, and nearly 30 years of know-how, two freezing units and export certifications lived only in conversations. The company also had a logo but no brand around it: the logo had to stay, and everything around it had to be built.

Four phone screens from the Bel Fish site: the homepage, the international presence map, the production chain, and lot traceability.

Website

The site follows the product: from the port, through processing and freezing, to shipping. An importer reads the company in the same order the fish travels, which answers the questions they ask before writing. We wrote it in French, the client’s choice, in plain words a buyer can scan. The version that shipped is the second one, refined after Bel Fish’s feedback on the first.

Three pages of the Bel Fish site side by side: the Halieutis park location, the "Du port au monde" figures page, and the species catalogue.
The Bel Fish international presence page: a gold world map tracing routes from Agadir to Africa, Europe and Asia, above a row of certifications.
The Bel Fish traceability page, "Chaque lot, suivi de bout en bout", over a contour-line illustration of the sea in deep blue.

People first

Bel Fish’s own line is “L’humain avant tout”: people first. So the site leads with the company’s history and its team before the products. For a buyer choosing a long-term supplier, the people behind the product matter as much as the product itself.

The Bel Fish team page, "L'humain, notre premiere matiere premiere", with four photographs of the processing workshop, quality control, packing and dispatch.
The Bel Fish brand and subcontracting page, "Sous notre marque" and "Et au service des grands", over a dark photograph of fish being washed.

Brand

Bel Fish kept its logo. We built the rest around it: a colour palette, the type and a direction for the photography, so the site looks like the company and not like a template.

The Bel Fish colour palette on a photograph of the sea: Atlantic blue and Deep Sea navy above Sand Gold, Dune, Ink and Salt, each with its hex value.
The Bel Fish colour system: blue, sand and neutral scales from 50 to 950, a usage bar, and six text-on-background pairings with their WCAG contrast ratios.
A dark panel from the Bel Fish site showing Agadir conditions: the date, a calm sea at 19C, Atlantic tide times, port status and the contact address.

Outcome

Bel Fish went live in 2026, one month after the first call, with its first website: a clear story for buyers abroad, its 13 species in one catalogue, and a direct line to the export team. Website design, copy and development by Wibitech.

Three further Bel Fish pages: the homepage hero, the company timeline from 1996 to today, and the contact page under "Echangeons.".
